And then there is the 6th.
Recently I wrote about The Writer’s Breath, the breathing practice that weaves the writer through the brain’s wave zones: gamma, beta, alpha, theta and, yes, even delta (sleep).
Further to this, my research found there are 5 foundational elements essential to writing momentum for people who long to write but are new to the idea of ‘being’ a writer.
These elements are an assemblage – don’t you love that word? An assembly, a gathering, just for you!
This is an assembly of elements without any one of which your writing is likely to falter. These elements are:
- writing – meeting the withheld self, rupturing the numbed comfort of your living
- guidance & support – sustained leadership through an ongoing process of overcoming
- access – having the resources necessary to participate in a writing program
- group – the group is everything, a beautiful exchange of witnessing and experiencing yourself in others and they in you
- nature – write in the world!
That friends, is you. We can offer you the 5, only you can honour your longing to write and take that first big step towards acting on your longing.
Every single one of our programs incorporates the 5 and a pathway for the 6th, whether online writing programs, the Bali women’s wellbeing writing retreat or Walk & Write Camino.
There are two places left in both our Wednesday and Thursday writing groups, starting in February 2025.
Ultreia: show up, keep going.
